10-11-2021 CONSTRUCTING A ROUND HOUSE IN A VERY TIGHT O SCALE YARD

Lately I've been working on a Round House, there are a couple of O Scale tracks leading in,  one has an undercover standing area for a Locomotive.

I had to squeeze it in under the On 30 tracks going over the top. I'm still doing track wiring, as you can see!

It is a corrugated iron shed, the turn table is a glass lazy susan.

It is slowly coming together. I have the lights on in the signal box. The track needs some ballast.

I am painting the window frames.

 

A VERY LARGE CORRIGATED IRON ENGINE SHED (In O Scale)

    The 3 tiered roof ready to put on the roof frame work
 

    Pegs & weights hold things down, while glue is drying.

    There is going to be a lift off roof, with three tiers.

    I started off with a two tiered engine shed. Eight windows, all framed on the inside & the outside eventually !

BUILDING A COAL STAGE (One large stage out of two)

                         I am combining two bachmann O scale coal stages & making one big one !

                        I cut the elevator off the back just under the door.

                        Here they go together.

                         I used a great contact adhesive, I will include a picture later, of the tube.

     I think I will but it here on the layout.

    I hae run the On 30 track into the top of the layout, I am making it up as I go along.

     The elevator that was on the back, is now on the side. A train can dump coal from above, into the coal stage below !  It is all coming together.....

                        A building has been added above, as I said I'm making it up as I go along !  In the mean time the Government has issued a mining license to mine underneath the Church, not a good idea; they will be digging up corpses next.  Crazy Politicians !       SEE  BELOW !!!
   

CREATING A TANK CAR

This is a toy train frame & bogeys. I have added new fine scale wheels & some lead to the frame, to keep it on the tracks.

           I have made the tank out of a calking gun cylinder & use beer can bottoms for the ends.

          Thin coffee stirrers were used on the top of the flat car. A bit of plastic around the edge.

                                       A shampoo bottle cap was used for the dome.

                                                          It is starting to take shape !
 

A CORNER PROJECT

                                    I don't like this fence !  It is going to have to go !!!

What to do with this corner ???   The Yellow behind the castle, will become a cliff face. The upper level.....

The train will go past a medieval castle, while above a funeral is going on ?   In the distance you can see a haunted fairy tale castle.....These are just some ideas at this stage !
 

A NICE LOCO from a DECEASED ESTATE

This is just a little O-Scale Diesel Loco I picked up at Branch Line, they told me it was from a deceased estate.

                             I'm thinking, I can improve on that & make it look better !

                                                            I think it is very Cute !
 

MAKING MOUNTAINS, out of mole hills !

This is the system I have come up with & I am still improving on it !

I am using foam (sponge rubber) our of old cushions, then putting plaster bandage over the top, after trying to shape it a bit.

Here is some of the foam.

Here I am putting the plaster bandage over the top of the foam rubber.

Make sure your track work is covered.

I would like a mural at the end on the wall, to cover it completely !
